Why a web site?

A web site was developed to allow easier access to information regarding the group. It is also designed to promote the group and all it's sections

What activities do the group do?

The group does a range of activities depending on the age group. Beavers for example my walk to the local police station when Explorers may go walking in the Alps. Check each section to find out what activities are planned.

Where is the group Based?

The headquarters of 1st Stoughton Scout group is at the top of Stoughton Road, Guildford, Surrey. We can be found down the small driveway next to the old Stoughton Barracks site. (Now a housing estate) Follow this link for a map.

Facts about the group:

  • The group was set up over 90 years ago
  • There are currently more than 100 members of the group with over 20 leaders / helpers
  • The group can take young people from 6 years of age (Beavers) up to the age of 18 (Explorers)
  • The group take part in a variety of District and County events in all sections
